What a fab day - day 1

We arrived safely at Joburg and made a quick transfer connection to Cape Town. We arrived at 11am and then our Bundy Basher representative, Andy, met us and we transferred by coach to Table Mountain. We were so lucky with the weather as on the previous day the cable was shut down because of high winds. It was incredibly busy and eventually made our way to the top. What a fantastic view.

We spent about an hour on at the top (eating ice creams and taking in the breath taking views) then made our way down in the cable car. It was just like James Bond,, a la Roger Moore and Jaws!!

Back to the hotel for a very quick shower and spruce up and then out to dinner at the waterfront.  Our hotel is actually an old prison.  The inmates of past were responsible for the construction of the waterfront and harbour at Cape Town.

We had a lovely meal (I had calamari and prince prawns)  and then off to to watch the rugby.  DHL Stormers vs Waratahs.  I think the boys were rather taken with the Cheerleaders!

I think it was lights out at 10.30 for the boys - ready for their first match tomorrow vs Langa.
