Tuesday 15th and Umhlali Match Report

An early breakfast and short coach ride to Shaka airport.
Zain is back with us and everyone is happy to see him again.
On arrival at Jo'burg we will be going straight to our last match, Jan Celliers, so let's hope for a better result than yesterday.

Umhlali Post match report
A team - L 57-7

A mismatch physically with the Umhlali boys being about 10kg heavier a boy. The school caters for the farming community and all the physical activity certainly showed. The boys tackled their hearts out, were competitive in the right against a much bigger park (Doddy even nicked one against the head) but struggled in the loose against the power and size of the opposition. With the exception of the last two tries Umhlali were made to work for all that they got. Here's hoping that the next match will be a little more comparable in size.

B team - L 17-5
With the exception of the first 10 mins this was another great effort against a much bigger side. Two tries down at half time, we scored a very good try through Charlie Dickinson and then continued to tackle and tackle only conceding one try in the second half. Ed Davies and Lorenzo always looked to take on the opposition in the forwards as did Sam Lindley in the backs.

Mums Report

Gordon Bennett, they were big!
